The spotlight on the boat normally points aft to keep the lens from getting salted over when I need it. The problem is that the only time the position switch works is when the light is on so before I can use it (at night) it blinds me. Is there a mod that I can do to allow the position switch to work when the spotlight is not on?

Thanks

depends on joystick used you could remove light-bulb fuse - one fuse is for motor and second for bulb, ore make same kind of modification and add switch before light-bulb fuse

Jabsco, right? If so, yes it is a fairly simple task. Pull the switch plate and look inside. You just need to remove the jumper that powers the switch from the light, and move it to the power input instead. May require some cutting / splicing, or not, I don't remember exactly how it looks in there.
