Temporarily storing my 270 DA in a yard, under a tarp, and under a tree. Well, these tiny dark green spots are popping up...and they dont rub off. They seem like a stain in the fiberblass. Someone I spoke with cited Spider Poop. Has anyone ever come up against this @$it? It looks like round spots of mold, but I would like mold would clean right off. We have tried Green Clean from Clorox, and also Soft Scrub w/Bleach and Dawn Dishsoap. Nothing is taking these little round green spots. Im hoping someone has also seen and dealt with this. Obviously my next move is to move the boat.

Put straight Clorox bleach on a band-aid and tape it on the spot. Also try hydrogen peroxide. Worked for us.

I have never had a problem getting spider poop off with polish and rag.

I will try both of those suggestions. Thank you. Are the spots you have seen black or dark green? I guess I am really not sure if it is spider poop or not. But...coincidentally, I do have a ton of spiders.

You are using all the wrong chemicals on the gel coat. A good coat of wax over a polished deck makes stains wipe off with a damp rag. Dawn, soft n scrub etc. strip wax and stains will then penetrate the gel coat. You need to polish and then wax. After that use water with very little soap to keep the boat clean and waxed.

Black and usually under the spider web where they eat.

Any black streak remover will get rid of the spots. Spray, let sit for 30 seconds, wipe away.
Unfortunately this is a very common problem on the water.

Polish and wax...then try to remove these spots. That is great advice. I will try all of these suggestions. Any particular brand of polish and wax you like for this job?

Had another thought...what about using a 3M eraser tool for these spider poop spots? May give that a whirl as well as an experiment.

Sure. I have no problem with the spiders. Just the poop stains. I will also investigate the spray nine option as well. Actually, thanks to all who posted. I have 3 or 4 methods to investigate now. Another good day of learning on CSR!!

Well, im sure some of these crap stains are older than 48 hrs.

We used "Wet & Forget USA Miss Muffets Revenge Spider Killer" all over and under the dock this summer for the first time and it has really helped. Inside under the boat cover I have a bowl with a lid that I pour out a 4 oz bottle of "Peppermint oil" into and that alone has made a huge difference(make sure bowl has a lid that will seal good while underway). I was using a bowl of "moth balls" but the peppermint oil seems to work better. Very few signs of spider poop but we still get them.

Wow...Miss Muffets Revenge Killer. Mother Goose meets Quentin Tarantino. I like it. Will certainly take a look. At our slip, the spider problem is normal and no biggie. Our problem here is temporary while the vessel is being housed and worked on in the yard under the tree. Once moved in a week, the boat will not be returning to this spot. I just want to be able to remove the tiny green stains and to make sure I dont have permanant stains on my fiberglass.

Thanks to all who replied. For those who dont remember, the problem was Tree Sap and Spider Poop that was staining my fiberglass. The solution...Bar Keepers Friends. Took all spots off with a little spinkle, some elbow greese, and a good rinse. No problems at all. Would recommend to anyone facing tough stains.
