I have a new spider defense mechanism. They are 3-6’ panels of privacy tarps with the seams sewn together. I despise to wash or have my boat washed only to return and find the black droppings. $400 investment and 3-hours of my time. Coverage area is 18’x50.

Spray the underside with Home Defense and I think you'll have it covered (see what I did there?)

The problem are the ones in the ceiling on a covered dock. I can deal with the ones on the dock itself. The ones in the 25’ tall ceiling are the issue.

Bennett: At our marina we are getting ready to order from Spider Diaper for the same reason as you. Just spoke to Jimmy Harris who owns the company this past week. I would be very curious if this works to keep the birds out as well as the spider droppings so please keep me posted of your experience. Did you use the cable ties to attach to the cables?

Yes. Bought 4’ UV resistant cable ties. We have a piece of 2” angle that runs full length of the slips at the right height.

We have a group of volunteers (boat owners) that spray once a week using HomeDefence. Roof supports, dock lines, power, and overhead lights are always the worst. The gangway is also a important area to keep clear and keep sprayed.

That's awesome. Wish my marina wasn't so anal. No chance in hell we would be allowed to put that up

Each slip has a 12'x20' patio on the opposite side of the dock from the slip. We all have windscreens to block the morning sun, wind, and rain. They are like a vertical curtain that can be pulled closed for the width of the patio. No one asked permission to install them 5 years ago so to go along....I figured I would ask forgiveness instead of permission.....
