Short run home last night in the dark from an anchorage ... anchor light and cockpit lights worked fine ... blower and engines fire right up, turn on nav lights and runing lights and dash and running lights illuminate fine, except for the speedometer which stayed dark. It was too late to trouble shoot it back at the dock last night, so we'll have to look into electrical gremlins in the next day or so. Hopefully just a loose wire or bad connection to the speedometer, but any other ideas? I suppose a bulb could be bad, or ? It seems odd that its just the single instrument light that is out.. Help?!

If your gauges are wired like our 280, the gauge illumination is on a common power and ground buss (common is necessary for uniform dimming). So if the speedo light is out and other gauges are fine, it would be the bulb in the speedo, or the connections to the speedo before they branch. Igf it is the bulb, you may be out of luck as they are sealed units. There have been a couple success stories of CSR members who have cracked open the gauges to get fog out and been able to re-seal, but I don't recall anyone who has successfully done a bulb replacement.
