I noticed the speedo tube was disconnected from the outdrive. Is this a sign that the tube broke off or is there a way to reconnect it?

On a Bravo Drive the tube is attached to a small fitting that pushes on and twists in the opening to lock it in position. Sometimes those fittings get broken because they are just made out of plastic. It may be the same way on your Alpha. I have to raise my drive up to see where it connects on my B3.

There appears to be a fitting on the outdrive, how are they atteched; screw in, etc..?? The tubing is way to small to fit over the fitting to attach

Does the fitting on the drive look cylindrical with little grooves in it? Meaning, does it look like a "quick connect" fitting where another piece would slide down on top of it and snap in place? If so, you're missing the female part that should be attached to the tube.
