I was not present during the survey of my 2008 350 sundancer, when you walk down the steps, to the right there are two selector switches i was told they are selection switches so the if the music is loud outside you can turn it off in the salon, i keep flicking these switches nothing seems to happen, is there a trick or did my surveyor miss this and they just don't work?

On my 340 I have two sets of carling switches. One set turns on/off the cockpit speaker and the other turns off the cabinet speakers. The other set controls cabin lighting; one is master on/off and the other is lower courtesy lighting. If yours do not control the speakers perhaps they control the lights. How are they labeled? If they are labeled for sound and they do nothing perhaps the previous owner bypassed them in a stereo upgrade ? Check the owners manual it may give better insight or even call Sea Ray customer support.

Same switches on mine are used as an on/off switch for the remote amplifiers turn on leads (usually single blue wire). One amp powers cockpit, the other the cabin.
