Anyone have the CAT part numbers I need to order spares? Any unusual tools needed for replacement, beyond typical stuff?

Thanks in advance...

Caterpillar has "arrangements" for their engines, based upon the application, configurations of accessories (water pump, alternator, etc.). Each engine has an "AR" number on the valve cover. You need to call your local Cat dealer and order a set of belts using your arrangement number and serial numbers. Cat belts are far superior to aftermarket and if you do it this way, the parts guy at the Cat dealer is responsible for getting you the right belt. If you get a number for say a 350hp 3126 and you have 420 hp ones, the belts may be wrong. The sure way is the way I described.

Only hand tools needed, but there are some metric fasteners on the front of the Cat engines. Also, the Cat belt guards are industrial strength and are a ***** to get off. Be very sure you label or mark each washer, spacer and bolt so you get the guards back on properly.
