Every morning the forum has a baker's dozen posts by a "new" member w/ spam links.

Could the forum black list IP addresses for these jerks so they don't just create a new user ID and do the same thing tomorrow?

Another alternative would be to limit the initial post rights to prohibit links 'till after X posts and X days.

We do ban there IP addresses each morning and each morning they create new ones. As soon as we can get to them they are deleted and banned. Thanks for reporting them this morning.

Hey wes, are these manual entries or computer generated? Don't you have to get an email to post?

These are generated by computers. We have every anti-spam mod possible in place. Sometimes I crank up the controls a bit but then I get email upon email of legit users that can't figure out how to register. So its at a happy medium right now. The spam posts are blatantly obvious so just report them, don't reply to them, and they'll go away. No harm no foul.

funny that Spam message replied to this thread.

I am online and saw all of this spam coming onto a bunch of threads. Easy to report, but having to wait 60 seconds between each report.....well....do I want to spend the next fifteen minutes reporting...wait 60 second...report....wait 60 seconds....

What is the use of the wait time to report spam? curious.

Keeps people from reporting too much of it. When you reported the first instance of spam it sends emails to us to clean it up. Cleaning up the first spam post will associate the spammer with all of the other posts and delete all the other spam posts too, and ban the user. So please just report it once per spammer. Oh yeah, we not only get your dozen emails but we get them from about 15 other users too. All in the matter of minutes. Just report once please.

Completely understand how the report system works now.

    Thanks Jim.
