First post for me. Thought I would share info about a couple of companies I have just got done dealing with. Anchor hatch, transom door and the large teak step pads on my 1985 25ft DA had seen better days. Took all of the parts to Allied PLastics,Inc in Toledo, Ohio (419-389-1688). Jeff Hood whom I talked to said he would reproduce all the parts with exact angles, gasket grooves and measurements out of boat board for $130. Picked them up the other day, quality workmanship. Stuff was 3/4 thick and heavier than orig wood and fit as good as original parts. Nicest people you could ever do business with. Jeff said he could reproduce pretty much any part. Boatboard comes in black, white, grey and two shades of tan. No web site as of yet. Second company is a bit more pricy but also produces a quality product. Company is called PlasTeak also out of Ohio, (they have a web site). Had them send me reproductions of my swim platform inserts. These are made out of plastic but look just like teak, $150 for the pair. Can also make ladder rungs out of same material for about $25 a step. Both companies were a pleasure to do business with. Can't believe how much cleaner the boat looks without all those pieces of teak that are a bear to refinish. Will try to post pics
Thanks Dan
