Sometimes family sucks

Sometimes family is incredible.... I had my grandson today help me cut down a tree at the house. You want to talk about a kid having a great time...he was in his glory....chainsaws, pickup trucks, a fire burning branches and picking up sticks....he filled a wheelbarrow for me in small sticks.
Although he did spend a great deal of time riding the tree :)

I used to administrate contracts. Based on how things go most are not needed but some times they are. The times when needed you see why you had them. Same with family business. If it aint written it aint so.

There is an operating agreement and a buy/sell agreement. My BILs thought they were so much smarter than everyone else and tried to craft the agreements squarely in their favor. At that time I had been a CFO or controller for 20+ years. I spent 6 of those years as the CFO of an 80 attorney law firm. And I knew the operating agreement so well that the partners asked me to rewrite it. So they weren't going to sneak anything by me. I got all of their one sided language removed and frustrated them to death in the process. My wife will get compensated.
