The boat was splashed on Friday morning, and with sunshine and 75 degrees, Saturday was the day to take a ride out. Well the wife made up some of her juicy munchies and we where ready to take a ride.

We invited some of newest friends we have met though the Marina to join us. So they and their two children wearing their PFD’s, joined us for a short ride to Maxwell Point where we drifted with the tide and enjoyed a sunny March day on the water. It was fun do be out enjoying a beautiful day on the water with good friends. Well today I saw them down at the Marina again, and I was extremely surprised when little Amanda handed me this thank you card she made by herself. I was quite touched by her effort, and would like to share here with CSR.

VERY VERY NICE........:thumbsup::thumbsup:

What the boating life is all about. Good time with good friends.

That's awesome. Stuff like that tugs at my heart strings. There's nothing better than a drawing from a kid...no doubt her parents are proud of her.
.

Good parents raising Good Kids...It's great to see.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very nice touch. Sound like good dockmates to have. This reminded me of my daughter a couple years ago when she was 7 and home sick from school. Because I have a flexible schedule I stayed home with her. After napping most of the day she came down and left this on my computer when I was making her lunch.

Only Note I get is.......Dad, I needed money so I went out back to the money tree and took money.....I could not reach the $20.00's so I took a $100.00. By the way, I am taking my friends out to lunch and where he is driving, I will fill up his car with gas.....Love ya

Nice work Bill. What great children, their parents should be proud of their thoughfulness.

Hey they are pretty observant there. They got the hull color right and even added a blue heron... Neat!

Hey Tom, I’m just glad that Blue Heron did not leave his mark on my boat!

They both are very nice.

I will never forget the day that my then 5 year old daughter wrote me her first note ever. I scanned it and keep it on my laptop to this day. A moment in time I will NEVER forget.

That comes with age, I remember when my little girl turned 13…. It was like someone just threw the switch and she turned instantly from Daddies Little Girl to Daddies Hell Raiser!

Wouldn’t it be nice if the innocence of children would only last!

Very cool!

I took my father out yesterday. It was his first time back on a boat in probably 15 or 20 years and this is a man that LOVED boating! It's hard to get him out of the house much less a 1 1/2 hour drive to meet up with us but his best friend drove him to meet at a friend's house on the delta with his own dock.

My brother and I are trying to keep him interested in life these days since Mom passed away a few weeks ago. She was everything to him and took care of him for the past 58 years so getting him out for the day was a BIG deal. We took a nice cruise through the winding river up to a little restaurant with a dock and had a great time with the 7 of us that had the chance to enjoy a nice NorCal day.

Next step, ashes scattered on 4/1/10 with the 4 brothers and Dad on my boat that we just got in December.....timing seems to be everything.

I promise you that yes, I am very proud of Amanda (I'm her Dad!!). I have two GREAT kids and an awesome family.

Amanda came up with that one (she'll be 8 on the 29th) by herself and is quite the artist!

Bill, Sandy - thanks again for the great ride and I can't wait to show Amanda this thread.

That's 100% her! As you can also see she is a "budding pirate" because of the water tattoo on her forearm.
