somethen to toe the boat with

Looks like your last boat was a 1994 250, I am test driving one tomorrow. Did you like the boat? Anything I should look for, common problems with that model. I have never had a SeaRay.

I think I found the perfect jet ski boat thing to tow behind your motor home. You could be the first one to get to your favorite fishin hole and have fun gettin there...

It was a good boat just needed more room and amenities. I had the small block so with alot of people on board it took a bit to get on plane. I didn't own the boat for long before upsizing so no issues.

I havent seen this little jewel yet but I talked to the present owner tonight and I am very intrested. It sounds like a unique little rig. It's got a 8 cylinder power plant in her but he removed 2 pistons to get a little more economy out of it. It's a 6 banger till you ad the other pistons. He says it's easy. I am very excited for my viewing tommorow.

Back in the day, I had the misfortune of owning one of the worst Malibus Chevy ever made - i think it was a 1978 (?) with the worst engine they ever produced, the wheezer 200ci V6. At about 130k miles, it developed a flat spot on a cam lobe, and wouldn't open the exhaust valve on one cylinder. This caused things to get unhappy in that hole, and eventually it would backfire up through the carb. It appeared the car might be headed for the junk yard...

I isolated the offending cylinder by pulling spark plug wires, and ran it that way without backfire until it occurred to me that this was a waste of fuel, with one dead cylinder. So - off came the valve cover, and I removed the intake pushrod and rocker from that cylinder. It was now effectively a 5cylinder for the next 20K miles or so.

I drove it as a work/winter beater, mostly back and forth to the airport...until another cylinder started to go and it was so gutless by that point on 4 of 6 firing that it wouldn't go up the ramp to the 3rd level of the parking gay-rage. One final trip home with horrible backfiring caused the plastic intake tube to catch fire...I stepped out along the freeway, removed my bags, and popped open the hood to help get more oxygen to the "problem". ;)

Ahhh....don't miss those days of junker cars.
