So you got yourself COVID vaccine. Think you can’t get COVID? Think again.

The US seems to recognize the vaccines as a covid cure by allowing travel within the US without restrictions for full vaccinated. Canada does not. So guess there will be no US boats in Canada or CDN boat in the US this summer. If you are a CDN you may want to send a note to your elected officials asking why Canada is not doing the same.

They are on shutdown today :) .... Ontario Stay at home order went in effect this morning at midnight.

The evidence suggest, even when all are vaccinated, we will still be subjects to our "leaders." They aren't recognizing that the vaccine actually will protect you from becoming sick and thus you should be free (which is opposite what we where originally told). They are looking for any reason to keep us obedient. It's complete BS and a revolution is badly needed.

"Out of the 1.2 million people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Washington, epidemiologists have reported evidence of 102 breakthrough cases in 18 counties since Feb. 1, representing less than 0.01% of all fully vaccinated individuals in the northwestern U.S. state."

******0.01%********

Thats 1/100 of 1%
You do know that none of these vaccines have claimed to be 100% effective right?

Yeah and nobody died from seasonal flu last year

Yeah. F-ing groundhog day. You guys in the US are lucky to have access to the vaccines. Our access has been pathetic so far. Its a supply issue, not a distribution issue. As a country without vaccine manufacturing, we have very little leverage to get supply. Interestingly one of my Albertan cousins and his wife are fighting COVID right now. Pretty sick but not hospitalized. He and my other cousins out there are (were?) anti-maskers (its the Republic of Alberta, you know). He was pretty spooked when he first got it (he's got a few of the risk factors).

Friends of mine couldn’t get their first vaccine in London where they live so they drove to Windsor today... most other people I know are waiting up to 4 months to get the second shot... not good

They just opened up vaccines to 55 to 75 year olds in Ontario. The major pharmacies have web sites where you can register and fill out a questionnaire. My wife's MS got her fast tracked and she got her 1st Astra Zeneca vaccine Monday. I am "lucky" to be too healthy to be fast tracked, so I'm wait listed.

Stunning.

Dude, you keep going full chicken little with the headlines and have really lame comebacks when the stats are pointed out to you.

I think you need to revisit what your goals were when you started this thread and reevaluate if you have any hope left of achieving them and be honest with yourself.

I'm unfortunately between my 1st and 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine and have come down with a case of COVID-19. Felt bad Monday afternoon, got tested Tuesday received the positive result in an hour and now in isolation. :(

I'm glad most if not all of my symptoms were gone after 3 days except some congestion.

I'd put this in the joke thread but unfortunately it's not a joke.........

My kids flying back from Colorado last night when deplaning had to get out of their seat and stay 6’ apart in the aisle...
Ridiculous. I find it odd that we don't get detailed information about airline travel cases and frequency in enough detail so that people can determine their relative risk of contact and can behave accordingly once they land and disperse to whereever they are going. Maybe it exists?

In Ontario they have announced that they are staring to prioritize high risk locations for vaccines. That includes "hot spot" factories and distribution centers as well as some dense urban areas where people that work in those places tend to live based on case tracking and contact tracing. Makes perfect sense when vaccine supply is limited, as it is now here in Ontario.

I think there must be a distinct weather related aspect to COVID transmission. I look at the north vs south cases and there is a definite pattern that is unrelated to politics, but seems to be linked to warmer weather.

After sitting 6 inches away from each other for three hours.
Yea, nothing nuts about that.
Who thinks up silliy stuff like that.
