This is good shot of my two favorite cars

This was my uncles car and been sitting since 1974. When he passed he left it to me so it’s on its way for restoration. I’d love to keep it original but it’s been sitting to long. View attachment 140765

Nice, love the “been sitting in the barn for decades” stories.
Just catching up on this thread, if you need another source for parts, I’ll throw a plug for Camaro Specialties in East Aurora, NY.

He is primarily Camaros but Works with Chevelle’s too. I have no affiliation with him other than he was local and I used him a lot when I did my ‘69 Z-28 years ago. Good luck with the resto.

You are on to him, I believe. I think he ought to pick up the check.
Easy now I am on a fixed income since I sold my business :D

Looks great!
Thanks. It isn't perfect but it's perfect for us. Has a previously touched up scratch near the gas tank door and a scrape on the corner of the front bumper but I didn't want anything perfect cause then I'd be afraid to drive it. We have put over 1000 miles on it since we got it and drive it about 3 or 4 days a week.
I did upgrade the throttle body from the factory 56mm to a BBK 65mm and installed a BBK CAI. We are planning a trip to Rhode Island next month that will end up being close to 2000 miles by the time we get home and planning to drive it.
When we get back I'm gonna install a Transgo shift kit then when winter comes gonna upgrade the heads to either the GT40 3 bar heads or aftermarket AFR 185cc's and a GT40 upper and lower intake. May pop in a very small cam but the stock cams are good to about 350HP. I'm good with 300HP so may stick with the stock one. I may throw in a better converter too. Maybe 2300 stall. After that will see how it goes but may pop in 3.73's too. Has 3.27's now. But hard to justify dumpling that much into a car that will likely never be raced but should be well into the 13's then, possibly 12's

Bought a 991 996 last week anddddd It's for sale. On to the next which is probably a 997.1 S.

Have to drive down to Austin and pick it up 4th July weekend.
I put 1,000's of miles on bikes finally pulled the plug about about 10 years ago. Never crashed on the streets. Broken collar bone and dislocated shoulder from riding over my head on the trails. I had some really fast bikes (ZX14 Kawasaki) to FZ1 to cruisers (Valkyrie and Road Glide). Finally got tired of avoiding other drivers and losing two friends in crashes (one an accomplished racer at Daytona) plus a neighbor losing a leg at the hip, that was it. Not trying to be "Debbie Downer", I just found myself being Joe Racer and exceeding my abilities at times and decided not to push my luck.
