I always loved that RX7. Wanted to buy one after my 3rd 300ZX for a change of pace and went on a test drive. Loved the car but it was just too tight for me for a daily driver.
Just drove my 91 on a two hour trip yesterday. My gel type seat cushion makes all the difference. Love the way it drives.
Sounds like somebody was watching Risky Business and had delusions of grandeur he was ol’ Tom himself!

I don't like walking out in the garage and seeing an Explorer and F150..... Boring.... I'm thinking the Explorer needs to get booted. We'll see what happens over the next week or two.[/QUOTE] Go for the gusto…if your going to get in trouble, go big. This is for sale on the Corvette Forum for a mere $88K.

Always liked this car. The engine, while revolutionary, was the soft sport. They never quite solved the oil burn problem, although with today's technology, there has to be a way to fix that issue.
Actually, there was an oil injection pump on all rotary engines so they were designed to burn oil. They simply couldn't meet emissions changes. Each rotor housing had an oil injection nozzle. They converted this one to a separate oil container for that injection pump rather than using crankcase oil. Yamalube 2 stroke oil was used in the tank. The oil was to lubricate the rotor apex seals.
I don't think I added oil but two or three times; it held a quart. The oil injection was progressive based upon engine load.
I had a Mazda Cosmo, I think it was a '76. Snazzy little car, I liked it but the Wankel couldn't handle the cold temps, hard starting. Got rid of it after one winter.
My '76 was over 5k new. A lot of money at the time, mine looked like this but blue. This is the first gen drawing the big bucks now
More than I thought! The Gen 3 RX7's in the early 90's were over $30K. My Gen 3 was well optioned and $34,900. Part of the reason not many were sold.
I don't remember much about mine, it was high end swank inside, pretty peppy, and the engine looked like you could just pick it up and carry it away if it had a handle.
"M" tag (manufacturer) on it with a metropark access sticker. Must run it around Kensington Park regularly.
My business is 2 miles from GM’s test track. I see these vets racing around all the time. The Z06 sounds very impressive
