I am on my 3rd jeep grand Cherokee. I buy them from hertz car sales. They put them up for sale when they hit 25k miles or a year old.Since the car thread is back on top -- would like some opinions. I have driven a Lexus for the last 20yrs - not the same one, but currently I have a 2004 LS430 that is pristine. I love it, one of the last luxury sedans with a V8 engine. But, I am always carrying something somewhere - mainly back and forth to the boat - so I am thinking about getting a smaller SUV. Wife has a Volvo X60 and I like it, great for her but not for me.
So here are the SUVs that I think are on my list, but would like to hear what others like. Kind of over the Lexus Toyota styling, have done that for 20yrs, although you can't argue with the reliability - have not really started seriously looking an anything yet:
No particular order - and really at this point based on looks.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Acura RDX
BMW X3
Porsche Cayenne (I have always loved the look of these - probably more than I would spend)
Probably looking at a pre-owned no more than 3yrs old. We have been buying the certified pre-owned cars lately and have had good luck with them.
That doesn't look like Cape Cod. Those are getting more popular now than when they were in production.Recently acquired
Those always remind me of my Dads first pickup truck. '51 GMC, those front fenders were designed to display your buck during hunting season.Recently acquired
That picture was taken from the sellers add in Bradenton, Fl. where I purchased the SSR from. It has since been transported to Bridgewater, Ma.That doesn't look like Cape Cod. Those are getting more popular now than when they were in production.
