Woke up to a couple inches of wet snow. Rain, sleet and snow so far this morning. My favorite color has to be grey or white until mid April. Went to the post office and all I had in my box was the latest SR Living and a WM catalog...Haa, like I even care, I got 5-6 months to read them.

Losing power for over an hour this morning - not cool.

I have over 6 inches in my driveway. I had to dig for my newspaper.

We are enjoying a nice fall day. I cut and stacked some more fire wood this morning and we are now watching the Iowa/Northwestern game now with a nice fire going. Go Hawks!

Glad I live south of you. Just rain so far today. Still miserable.
 
I think it hit 64 degrees here today. Boat came out of the water late morning, so I spent the afternoon power washing the bottom, removing the outdrives, and giving it a good wash below the rubrails. I wish it didn't get dark so early so I could have gotten more done. I don't know how many more days like this we have coming that I'll be free for.
 
I am not going to miss the snow as we are heading to the Keys for the winter and it will be our first time not spending a winter in the snow since 1970.

Bad thing retirement day is not till January 10th at 10:00am good thing is that I have three trips to warm weather scheduled prior to then.

I guess getting getting older isn't all bad as long as you are alive.
 
I can come and help you guys out at $110 per hour with this. :grin:

And this is the pic my mother sent me this morning from their place on ft. Myers Beach. I get no love from the family.
 
Beautiful day here on the Bush River. Marina was full of boat buddies. Some cleaning, some going out for a ride, some like me working on one boat and moving the big boat to a winter slip and all of us wishing winter was over.
More work tomorrow but for now it is off for a Martini or two with the misses.

Man I remember those days up there. You don't slow down you just change modes of transportation. Fire up the snowmobile and start grooming those trails.
