Snow again

Hey Al Roker....who gives a crap that 75 million people will be affected by some storm????? (And what if the figure is 85 million?) What kind of information is that anyway? Of what value except to stoke the anxiety and sell more ads on your idiotic show?

Maybe that because so many people will be affected, it will impact delivery times and services to people outside the region.

I was annoyed that Sleep Number customer service was slow until it was pointed out that their call center was in Louisiana and had been whacked by a hurricane. Then my problem seemed quite trivial.

If I told my customers that I can’t help them today because it snowed…. They would be looking for another supplier. A well run company has a contingency plan…. Be it a hurricane, fire, flood, power outage…. Anything except an excuse

I grew up in MI where every few years we'd get a storm like this. School was closed but otherwise it was business as usual. Bunch of pussies on the news these days.

I grew up in Michigan, too. Moved south about 30 years ago to never ever move back.... Yep... Here I am back in Michigan, living for 4-5 months a year again. I had a weak moment a couple years ago. Tried bringing mother in law south. Nope. That was a bad idea. Oh well, it did get me back into a boat again.
Sure hope this dumb storm steers a little south.

I'm hoping it(the storm) stays north. I lived in MI for 38ish years. Moved back to Ohio a few years ago, If I never go back it'll be too soon. I've thought about it quite a bit and can't come up with anything that I miss about the mitten or da UP eh...

I say the same about Ohio. This storm, we got 1/2”.

I think that is taught as a 400 level Business Admin course in college these days

Kevin, funny you should mention that. I just did a 2 month long battle with a home improvement company whose name I'm not allowed to mention but their initials are HD.

A small ($5500) flooring job that should have been done in October 2021 while we were in AZ didn't even get started because they shipped all the material to WA. I had to fly back down on 1/1/2022 so they could get it done.

I won't go into all that I had to do to make sure it got done, and I won't even mention the installer who tried to extort $600 from me, but suffice it to say it's done, the home improvement company cut me a sizeable refund to my credit card to cover their arses.

I’m sorry, I want more snow. Maybe two or three more of these minor 4 to 6” snows would be nice.

I just picked up a new to me New Holland 35D it makes $200 per hour during these storms. It needs just less than 200hrs to pay it off. The last two storms here it worked 26hrs.

It all comes down to money

The entirety of West Michigan can rest assured we're just about done with significant snow falls for this winter. Why you ask? I bought a new snow blower in December. There's no better way to ensure you don't get much snow than to invest in new snow removal equipment.

Very true. So very true!
