Hello all, we here at Flight Systems Inc. are interested in purchasing any old SMXII keypads. We are now offering a new replacement keypad to get give the control a whole new life at a fraction of the price. We are looking for SMXII keypads that no longer respond, have physical damage to the pad, and just plain stopped working. Anyone interested please feel free to contact me here. Like wise I am offering free tech support for troubleshooting your Cruisair system.

I am very interested in this. One of our Key pads died this fall and we need to replace it before next spring. Please give me all the details.

Thanks

I called this outfit today to inquire about buying a "refurb'd" SMXII to replace my old three-knob'r. They don't sell them - which struck me as odd. What do they do with the ones that come in on trades? I guess they have a core requirement (ie: you only get one if you return one [?])

Well Keypad works OK. Circuit board they rebuilt was left on 115 volts so when I hooked it up my 240 fried the fuse. I assume it's just the fuse but if it's other I will post.

Anyone have luck with Flight Systems? My SMX II died again (no display/no control) at the end of last season, I'll be taking the shrink wrap off in the next couple weeks and planned on replacing the control panel then.

I just sent my bad smx keypad into them last monday and had it back on friday they did a great job and it is working fine

I installed a different brand of A/C and have my old keypad. If anyone wants it for free (shipping fee only) let me know. I have the manual as well.

Jack,

I know you said you sent out your Circuit board. Can you tell me were the board is located. We had Flight systems check out the keypad and it checked out fine. The suggested sending them the Circuit board.

Thanks

The board is in the electrical box mounted on the compressor unit. Take a pencil and paper to make a diagram of where the wires go. Better yet take a picture and make a diagram.
TURN OFF THE POWER before you take out the board.
What problem are you having?

Jack

We sent our Key pad into Flight Systems because the off button would not work. They tested it for two day and found nothing. They suggested sending in the board to have that tested.

Ours is going dim.. and becomes unresponsive after XX amount of time.. the AC continues to work OK.. if we cycle power on AC at the breaker panel, the keypad is fine again for a while.. Sometimes it does seem to come back to life on it's own.. kinda weird to be honest..
Not sure if it's the keypad or some other issue w/the unit?? Is there any other troubleshooting options we can try before sending the keypad in or purchasing a new one??
