The cruisair units in my 410 are controlled by SMX IR keypads.
One of the keypads has developed a problem with an unresponsive “Down” button. The up button, and all of the others, work but I can’t lower the temperature.
I’m thinking it may be somethings as simple as a bad contact to the panel behind that button.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Can someone advise how to safely remove the cover so I can take a look back there to see if I can clean something so it makes a better contact?

Believe you can pull the cover out at the bottom and then slide upwards. Flight Systems (flightsystems.com) is a good bet for repairs.

I second 920. Flight systems is the expert on these smx units. They also have a great troubleshooting guide on their site.

Just got off the phone with Flight Systems. Unfortunately, the keypad is not repairable with that error. They recommended I get a new one.
