Smoking deal on Lumitec Seablaze and Seablaze X Spectrum underwater lights

Are those attached directly under your swim platform. If so, how does that look at night - does it still illuminate the water even thought they aren't submerged?

They actually are under water, and they look amazing. Quite bright. I'd say after I did mine 2 years ago, my marina owner sold/installed another 5 sets from folks asking about mine.

Wow that is a great price. I have the Spectrums and they are awesome!

bracketracer, these are awesome and I plan on putting them on my boat too! I may wait for the X2's price to come down a bit though...

I see you have some sort of multi-color lighting in your cockpit, what did you use there? Seems to be able to match the color of the underwater lights.

Thanks!

So those are the Lumitec Halos. They're only 4 color (red, white, blue, purple), but I can set the underwater lights to match whatever I've got going on up above.

Here was my writeup on those: http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php...pgrades-just-did-arch-cockpit-lighting.82134/

Wow! You've done some nice work there! Did you add lights in the cockpit under the seating? Or just replace the ones that were there?

I like what you did for your chartplotter upgrades. Mine came with a 12" Garmin in the chartplotter location, and one of my winter projects is adding a 9" to the center console. Having a new panel done to accommodate.

BTW, why did you have to take the fridge out?

Many thanks. It's been a lot of work, but I'm kind of gadgety, and I'm about 85% towards my goal.

Just replaced the 4 lowers with the same units I used on the arch.

Fridge came out to run AV cabling (HDMI from the Fusion head unit, and coax from the HD antenna) to the arch TV, and cabin TV. That's actually pretty easy once you figure out the fasteners and screw covers.

Reading your list from the other thread... Did you change cabin lighting to LED? If so, what did you use? Also, did you install line cutters? If so, which ones?

I used the Lumitec Mirage for the smaller cabin lights. There are 13 of them total. Haven't converted the larger cabin lights yet, but will in a few weeks. No line cutters yet. Not really a big issue around here, but wanted peace of mind.

Also, my amp draw when using the cabin lights dropped from about 12A to less than 1A.

I used the Mirage on my last boat in the spoiler. They are now making a warm white version that should be nice in the cabin. Didn't realize there were 13! When you mention the larger ones, are you referring to the wall sconces? I thought there only was the small ones? The battery savings are huge! We're on moorings mostly and saving energy is important to us. Besides, need to save some battery for the fridge we are going to replace the ice maker with!

Honestly, I think I screwed up a bit with the cabin lights, as I think they're hotter than 4000k, and I really wanted 2700-3000k, but I'll live with it.
Not the sconces, rather the larger ceiling lights. I think there are 2 in the main salon, and one more(can't remember location).
I'm curious what fridge you're using up top. That's on my extended list.

I have the Spectrums on mine and they're amazing. Never seen a price this low on them either.

Hello, we just moved to Florida and now we want to add underwater lights. My boat is a 14’ beam. Can I put one in the middle, or would it look a lot better with two, one on each side? Appreciate the assistance.

Also, are the Spectrum brighter than the regular ones? Or is the only difference more colors?

Lastly, I am a DIY guy. Did you install yourself?

Id suggest 3 on a boat that wide, especially if its a twin I/O.

The Spectrum are the multi-color. These tend to be not as bright as the single color in the same series.

You guys are killing me. Now I have to go to the admiral and ask for more boat bucks....

It looks there are 2 options:

Seablaze X or Seablaze X Spectrum.

If the Seablaze X are as bright or brighter than the Spectrum, I think I can live with only blue and white colors.

Mine is right at a 13', and the two are plenty bright.

Admittedly, I didn't do my own install, but was there while it was happening. Hole saw, and 3M 4200 got them set.

I'd normally say the same, but damn I love the ability to either choose any, or let them cycle through their spectrum on a 3 minute cycle.
