Smilies???

ok, this may not be a bug. it may be my ignorance. but i have tried and tried and i cannot find the dopey smilies. they are enabled in my options/preferences but i cant find the box full of them, either in the "quick reply" function or the "post reply" function. i can certainly live without them, but being borderline OCD, it bothers me that i cant get them to appear >:-(

This was bothering me too, as I had seen someone else include a smilie, but I could not find that. For the post above, I first clicked on the word 'Smilies' down at the bottom where it says smilies are on. That brings up a menu of different smilies.

Then you highlight the text for the one you want, go back to your document and paste it in. For Windows, use whatever you normally use for copy and paste. It works. Now I know how to do it too. I don't know any easier way.

There should be an area to the right of the text box where you type a reply after you hit "POST REPLY". Then just click on the smilie you want and it will appear in the text box. Not sure why you don't see them otherwise.

You also have a drop down box at the top of the reply box with them.

very weird but i have NEITHER of the things you mentioned - no drop down and no box after hitting "post reply." i was thinking maybe my monitor is cutting off the box-o-smilies on the right, but i get a full screen and no slider thing at the bottom.

Go to your settings at this link: http://clubsearay.com/forum/profile.php?do=editoptions

Go to the bottom of the page and make sure your default post editor is the enhanced wysiwyg editor. All this is covered in the site FAQ

You also have to "Go Advanced" to get the similes.
