After dropping in my new to me 2002 5.0 MPI, I was going through some older equipment I had in storage. I decided that since I already had the Mercruiser digital gauges on my boat, I would try to connect a bluetooth vessel monitor and a Mercruiser nema2000 gateway. After some memory lapses, I was finally able to get the correct cables in the correct location to have everything work. Now I have engine data on Ray Marine Axiom as well as a tablet. I used the existing cable that was installed from the engine to the helm, it has the EOL resistor on both ends. I then disconnected the cable from the tach and attached it to a 4 position Jbox. I then connected a non resistor cable from the Jbox to the tach and the 2 engine monitors to the Jbox. I connected the nema2000 gateway to the Ray Marine gateway with an adapter. tied up all wires and mounted all hardware, turned the key and was very pleased with the job.
