I'm about to pull the trigger on buying a Northstar GPS / multifunction display because they seem to be only outfit compatible with Smartcraft. I'd prefer Garmin but it needs NMEA to collect/display data from other sensors.

Question:
Is there a converter available to make ALL the many SC data available to NMEA devices? Seems like it would be a hot seller for us Mercruiser owners.

Has anyone figured any way to connect Garmin, Furano, Ray Marine displays to Smartcraft such that they display the SC data?
Thanks!!

SmartCraft is a closed proprietary CAN network technology... so I'm guessing NO. But that would be awesome if there was one.
