Smartcraft Jbox Expansion

First I searched and read a lot of posts prior to posting this. I sadly didn’t find an answer to what I was looking for, so could be searching skills .

I am adding a NMEA2k to smartcraft gateway to my 280da. My current jbox is a 6 port under my helm but every port is in use. I am thinking I can unplug a port on the 6 jbox, use a cross over cable to a new 4 port. I would have to move at least one plug over (probably a gauge plug) and then I would have a few free ports. Does this makes sense or am I thinking about this wrong?

If you just add another j box wont you need to move the termination resistor to the other j box since it is now the end of line?
