I have a 2007 290 Sundancer with Smart gauges that don't light up when I turn on navi lights. The compass light works though. The dimmer does not effect the lights at this time. Do the Gauges have an individual control to turn them on? Is it possible that if the batteries were disconnected that they defaulted to off position ? Any suggestions?

Smartcraft gauge lighting is independent from the boat lighting circuits. On my set up the gauge lights are controlled by the SC5000 System View display. Your gauge lighting should be controlled through either your system tach, or system speedo.

Thanks Henry , I will pull the manual for the gauges and see if I can find the light settings there.

I found settings on tach and speed for adjusting light level from dim to bright . I did not find
a on / off setting though. I set the level to brightest setting but nothing has happened . Not sure where to go next. All other gauge readings work fine. Could the lighting circuit for the gauges have its own fuse?
