Smart craft Help.

Hello,

I have a smart craft device on my Searay 270 Amberjack 496mag and wanted to know how I can send that data to my Simrad 8NSS. Do I need an additional harness or can I tap into the Smartcraft cable and feed it to my Simrad NSS device.

Not sure if you already received an answer but you can use a Merc NMEA 2000 Gateway or replace your smart tach with a merc monitor. It the Gateway plugs into the junction box (mine is located on the starboard side behind the helm access panel), and you can connect it to the NMEA 2000 port of the SIMRAD. I have a Merc NMEA 2000 Gateway I can sell you for $200....I bought it for $400 but decided to upgrade to the merc monitor since I decided to replace my smart tach.
