I just had the bellows replaced in ours before we put it away for the winter. I had thought about doing it myself but the local shop gave an estimate of ~$700 for bellows and gimbal bearing and I specified I wanted all Merc parts. They said they used Sierra but would install Merc stuff for me. When I picked it up he said there was very minimal price difference for the Merc stuff so didn't charge me any extra. He did comment that the bellows went on so much easier than the Merc stuff and that they might just start using the Merc stuff since the cost was similar. I think my total was about $730. Not worth doing it myself for that much. I had a different shop do our 1986 250DA in 2015 and they used Sierra. We sold it this past summer but the bellows were stating to crack so we were going to have to replace them this winter if we still had it. They charged me about $600 back in 2015. There is a 3rd shop that I got a quote from that wanted $1100.
