If you are looking for a slip in Freeport The Town of Hempstead Marina at the end of Guy Lombardo has slips available for boats over 25'. This is well protected marina with security and plenty of parking. Slips are on floating docks with poles. Rates this year were $78 a foot including electric from 4/1-12/1. Non residents pay an extra fee. The marina used to have a waiting list but since Sandy many larger slips vacant. Call Conservation and Waterways for an application 516-431-9200. Applications are accepted now for next year.
