Why not add a snap in carpet like Infinity or snap in SeaDek? Softer on the feet & buttocks. Then you can remove it when not in use?

I slipped on mine recently. One leg with iPhone and wallet went into the saltwater between the dock and the platform, the other leg was spread out across the platform, I was barely holding onto the cleat, and my head was resting on the dock!!
I was carrying clothes from the car (parked in the dusty gravel parking lot) AND the rubber on my shoes was hard as a rock from age. After slipping on the ramp, boat and then at the house on concrete, finally ditched the shoes and I’m good to go again.
Back to the point, it was not the diamond non skid decking, it was the slippery ^*+*^!!@& bleep bleep bleeping shoes.

I'm just trying to figure out if this is a problem with the swim platforms or if you guys just drink too much!!!

All this slippin' and fallin'....we sound like a commercial for Life Alert....

Don't ditch the old shoes-- every so often, usually when I feel the boat shoes or old sneakers getting slippery I lay a sheet of 36 or 40 grit sand paper on the ground and grind the shoe soles into the paper. Skuff back and forth a few times and it will expose some new stickier rubber. Works like a charm.

Back when i had the 280Da, I was polishing with the wheel (3M Finesse IT). The top decking had that diamond pattern non skid pattern. It was dirty and I started to hit it with the machine. It cleaned up well and I I did the entire boat.......Although the boat looked incredible, it was NOT walkable for at least 2 weeks. Break your neck, type slippery. Never again will I use "shinny wax" products on non skid!
