Slant Back snaps?

I would like to be able to roll up the center slant back portion, but can’t figure how to install the straps.
There is a cover over the outside zipper, but what about the inside?

a pic or 2 would be appreciated.

I would use removable straps. Snap caps and socket on the strap ends and stud to gypsy above where you want to roll.
