Ski locker hinge seperating

Just as the title reads; My ski locker piano hinge is seperating from the door. No big deal right, just screw it back... wrong. The hinge is somehow attached to the lid by some sort of glue(?). I tried to reinforce it with some 3M, but as soon as I re-attach little shock a couple of days later, the door starts to pull away from the hinge. So, with that said are there any recomendations on how to fix? Also, the boat is a 2007 that I bought used. Would the warranty still cover something like this?

If I had experience regarding this I would post a educated reply.

Since you have no other replies, what is behind the hinge? Could you drill holes and add screws? I am shooting in the dark, trying to offer a suggestion.

I was thinking something along those lines as well, but I didn't know if there was a particular reason searay built it this way. Plus, I'll have to look to see if the hinge even has recesed holes when I get home.

You should call sea ray dealer before you attempt your own repair .It may be more common than you think and they will cover the repairs,at least as a "good will" service,or at least partially.
