Sitting or Standing when steering boat.

Did you get your bolsters yet?

That poor soul is going to be hounded now by every one looking for some pillows, cusions or bolsters.

I would have kept that contact close to the vest and been a bit more discreet on advertising the situation.

Yup.. that would be a shame.

With the availibilty of marine grade vinyls (or canvas) and foam at fabric stores it shouldnt be too difficult to make one. (or even have your local upholstery or canvas shop make one )

I stand almost the entire time we are under way. I'm a short little guy, so sitting down, I can't really see past the bow unless we are in a no wake zone or something. Occasionally, after we plane out, and we are on a semi long cruise, I will sit down if I don't see any troublesome traffic like lake lice (Jetskis)

Chautauqua Lake is a big lake for sailboaters, so I'm just more comfortable that I can see more when standing.

It is no secret, I received a letter in the mail stating if there was anything I would change about my boat to email them, and it gave their email address. I dont see the big deal.

I've had the same problem of finding a great alternative to give the extra height without buying new seats or sitting on misc items.

Check out this new product: www.bolsterbuddy.com

Multi use and easy to store.

You do realize that this thread is 6-7 years old, right?
Are you affiliated with this bolster company? I see you have a total of two posts & they are copied and pasted references to this product. It seems a little suspect to me.

Notwithstanding SPAM, or something else, if you visit the link you'll find the story. Mr. Velasquez ties to the CSR member, and owner of the company. I don't know if he's a supporting vendor, or not, but I've often wished for some additional height, to avoid standing or sitting on the bolster. I probably sit in the helm seat less than 1% of the time running the boat.

Also, he just joined this month and has no profile info. Economy sized SPAM can!

80% sitting on the 300 sundancer, 90% bolster on the 240 sundeck.
