To your point Dennis, if you break the trailer down and look at each component then you see the value of the product. 6 lug 6,000lbs hubs, disc brakes, 3500lbs rated square axle, rear J hook on the spring to ensure it stays in the hanger when the trailer is bouncing around with no load, thickness of the frame metal, bow winch pedestal. etc.....

Shorelandr is a very good trailer.

honestly i didn't read all the responses and this may have been offered, but in my experience, it's the tires that are the weak link in every case i've been in hauling overloaded trailers. you can pretty easily tell, as they sag a lot even fully inflated. and if they are overloaded enough, they will blow. i have done this enough times in my life that i don't push it anymore by coming close to the max.
