Moorings at my marina lined up and ready to be dropped. And my Sea Ray in her slip.

What size boat will those hold?

There are a variety of sizes in the photo. I don’t know the weights, but the boats in the basin range from 20 ft bow riders to a 35 ft Mainship flybridge, and a number of 33+ft sailboats. Before I was in the slip my 270 AJ used a 250lb mooring anchor.

Dock after gulls were lined up on the dock after ice out.

Was at our marina briefly this rain soaked Easter. There is still ice in the harbour. Latest in years there has been ice this late into April. Most boats still under cover or shrink wrap and not the usual crowds of buffing an polishing.

Lots of boats still on the hard here too.

This was our house weekend... Clean leaves out of garden and mulch with pine needles... edge everything, power wash deck and stain... Power wash driveway and seal.... And pickup sticks and more sticks.. My back is killing me.. Just woke up from a nap... Wife wants to move to a condo :)

Those mooring anchors look kinda puny for a boat of any size. Are those for a lake?

No, but it is for a particularly well protected part of a harbor off Long Island Sound. The are probably weighing at 200-400 lbs. My own anchor is 250 lbs. There are other larger ones still waiting to go in.

The local harbor master is a stickler for tackle inspections and proper sizing to the boat, and they tend to be conservative. Not all areas here are so well protected.

April 29th and it's 32 degrees... UHG :( Where is Spring??? It was a nasty cold wet and windy weekend. Crazy weather!

Ok my rant is over :D

I was in Albany on Saturday. It was definitely colder than Long Island by about 10 degrees. Temps dropped here today, too.

We had a freeze warning last night so we had to bring all of my wife's outdoor potted plants into the garage. What the heck is going on with this goofy weather?

I've got Al Gore on speed dial. Let me call him to see what he thinks about this Inconvenient Truth.

85 degrees here today, what's all this nonsense about signs of spring anyway?? ;)
