Have recently noted water accumulating in the shower sump/bilge area located under the salon floor of our 2010 370DA. Its not coming from the shower sump/reservoir as the box is sealed tight and the sump pump works fine, but may be coming from one of two drain holes at the back of the bilge (see photo). Does anyone know where these drains lead? Possibly under the freshwater tank? Could I have a slow leak involving the freshwater tank or pipes?

I think that we are in the same marina. I'll walk down tomorrow morning if you are around.

Thanks Jay — I may have fixed the problem. Seems the bilge pump in the shower sump (which also serves to collect water from AC condensate) was not working. I pulled it out and replaced it with a new 750gph pump and also replaced the check valve. Did all this after detwatering the bilge. Going down this afternoon to check on things. Hopefully the new pump is doing its job.

What would cause standing water in the mid cabin bilge? The area aft of the gray water sealed bilge? Bilge pump is working but I always have standing water (to the point it hasn't triggered the pump). What is the usual source of this?

The salon air conditioner condensate drain routes to the gray water tank. If that line gets plugged up with schmutz, I believe that it will overflow its pan and end up there.

Another place to check is the bilge section forward of that one. Get on your hands and knees and look up toward the shower drain. If the shower drain has a leak, it will collect between the hull and what I will call a stringer. Eventually, it will overflow and end up in the same place.

Has your forward Hi Water Alarm bilge pump ever gone off?

3349B748-0DF4-491E-A8D1-7CC20B2F1729.jpeg I checked the Fwd bilge and its dry like the desert. I’ve never had the Highwater bilge alarm go off either. Here’s a picture I just took and it shows a little blue tint to it because I threw some conditioner in it and the area in front of it for gray water sealed bilge is spotless like kinder-touchus. No Schmutz

The connection behind my hand held shower, the shower diverter was leaking and got my entire salon and the hardwood soaked. Took me a few weeks tonfigure it out, even changed out the entire attwood sump box and pump

I think I have a bad check valve from the sump. Can you recall where you bought the check valve? Make and Model number? I'm going to start looking into this problem this weekend.

Disregard, I found it at West Marine.
