23 years as a career Lieutenant/Fire-Medic and I LOVE THIS JOB!!!

Only thing I can add is my dads work. Two of the things he was involved in was testing and redesigning the antennas on ISS. Then the year before he passed he was asked to redesign and build new machine gun mounts on Abrams Tanks. He didn't have the fancy cutters or CAD. He drew it by hand and cut the parts on a bench lathe. In four weeks he made six mounts and shipped them to a unit. Before his mount the old mount lasted about three weeks and took eight weeks for a new one to arrive. His lasted over two years according to member of the unit.

He never sold the mount. He gave it to that unit. He didn't want to be a war profitee.

Slightly different here. Corp to airline. LR35/55, C650, HS25, DA200, CL601 to 320/21. I’ll never go back. Luckily no mergers just lots of scum bag owners.
