Lovin' the tower...it now has wakeboard racks.

Feeling a bit inadequate? How do you post the pictures into the body of the post. I added the attachement pic and it shows as a small image? The other pictures appear to be much better quality and fill the page. Thanks in advance.

mfreez, you have to host the pictures somewhere else... like photobucket.com or your own website then you use the image tags to insert it into the body of the post.

I opened a free account at www.photobucket.com. I uploaded the pics from my harddrive to that account. Once I uploaded it, I had an option of several types of links...img links, html links...whatever. I just copied the "img" link, pasted it in the "reply to thread" post...and voila. I may have resized it too, but it was all pretty mindless.

While we are on the subject of towers...the kids want to fish occasionally when we anchor. I thought a couple of clamp on stainless rod holders would be a nice addition. I have searched but didn't see any connected to the towers...does everyone hook them to the bimini or are they flush mounted for the most part?

Hey JediJD,
Check out Samson Sports. They make wakeboarding and fishing towers with accessories which include bolt-on rod holders. Here is a link http://www.samsonsports.com/fishing_accessories.html

Speaking of wake towers, I just started seriously shopping them. I just started wakeboarding this year. I grew up water skiing, but I have to say I think I’m hooked! I was hesitant at 35 years old and 230 lbs, but my buddy convinced me into shelling out $275 to buy a Ronix Mana and Kai boots (evidently a good deal he said) and then he got me out on his Wakesetter. So needless to say I am now looking to add a tower to my boat.

I have an 08 175 Sport. Here is the tower I’m looking at buying…

Here is the “special package” you can get with that tower…

My buddy that’s taught me says it’s a killer deal and I probably won’t beat it on a tower like that. So my question is does anyone have any experience with this tower? I like the looks of it and it looks like it’s built pretty well. I just hate to shell out $1800 on something over the internet without seeing it.

If people have other recommendations also I wouldn’t mind hearing them. I want to stay at or below $2000 for a setup, tower, speakers, racks and a mirror.

Thanks again for all the help!

Yes, Sampson is very very nice. I was looking at them at the boat show, and compared to the others, their quality is indeed top notch. I'm going to redo our canvas over the winter and am considering add an arch from them and integrating the canvas to it.
