Hi Guys I imported a 185 to Oz a couple of years back. Im hoping someone can advise the following. Had a blowout over the weekend and didnt have a spare tyre or rim to save me so I would like to find out the following so another weekend doesnt get ruined.

Can anyone tell me who supplies Shoreland'r with the 14x6 Directional Rims for this trailer? Is it Badger components??The trailer came with ST215/75R14C tyres.

The look identical to the first rim on the top left http://www.badgercomponents.com/catalog/wheels_2.pdf

or this

http://www.cabelas.com/product/Kend...&y=0&Ntt=rim&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products

Whats the deal with the directional Rim. ie Are they all the same or is one a left and one a right??

I ve been led to believe the rims are a Ford Stud Patter ie 5 x 114.3 with a "0" offset with a centre bore of 84 is this correct?

We have early model Ford Rims here that are 5 x 114.3 with a +6 offset, would they be suitable?

I also need one of these for this trailer http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/extreme-max-marine-high-mount-spare-tire-carrier.aspx?a=429573

Can someone advise the oem wheel supplier and exact specs or advise the best place to shop online like cabelas that will post internationally

Does anyone know if there is some sort of spare wheel carrier for these avaiable that come complete with UFP disk brake hub complete with rim and spare tyre??? just a thought..

Please help

I think you are on the right track with all.

You may need to talk to Cabela's customer service - they should be able to answer if they will ship internationally to you. If you click the red line about terms and restrictions, it says they use international air only. If they can ship to you, you have a first rate vendor. My wife has family in Sidney, NE, (home base for Cabela's) and went to high school with some of the Cabela family kids. I worked for a financial services company that provided services to Cabala's some years ago, and we have a store here in my area.

Most U.S. sport boat trailers use a handful of wheel styles you see repeatedly. I have the chrome wheel with the round holes that you can easily find from these vendors. Cabela's should be able to confirm if you have found the right wheel. They probably can also provide the spare tire mount if you want to shop in one place.

Since I don't see a left and right wheel offered, my hunch is that the word "directional" is mostly a marketing term. You should be able to confirm by looking at your own wheels - if they are the same pattern, they are not directional. And, unless you would buy two spares, it won't matter anyway. Again, Cabela's should be able to confirm this as well.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. The rims are the same on both sides so dont think the directional thing is a worry. I have rang around the tyre shops here not only do they not have an alternative rim with the specs I need, also the tyres are not available in that size here so looks like my only option is to buy from the net. If the specs check out I will probably go the wheel and tyre together from Cabelas with the angled mount as well. Who said boats were a money pit??? Thanks for the advice..

How strange is that, not being able to find a tire? Locally I could find a tire/rim in at least 6 diff stores. I guess different parts of the world have different priorities.

Anyways, don't worry about the directional. I had the same rims on my trailer. It's the identical rim on both sides, you'll notice the slot goes the opposite direction.
The rim is nothing special, a std bolt pattern. And watch the offset so it rides in the mudguard properly.
If your local search is coming up empty, you can try contacting Shorelander. http://www.shorelandr.com
They may have a connection in your area.
Good luck :smt001

The two problems I face are 1.The Tyre. We simply only have 185 195 0r 205 Light Truck tires which are a bit skinny on the 14x6 rims and probably not up to the specs of the ST215/75R14C's that are on it at the moment. The other is the 0 offset of the rims and large centre bore. There simply seems to be no equivalent here. I can walk into any boat shop and get the common ones here too. I m not bothered changing axles and hubs so I will just have to import them from the states. bummer.
