I am looking for information on installing shore power on a 215 express 1997. I will install battary chargers after this is installed. thanks Ron

If you enter some more information someone may be able to help you. You would not install shore ower and then install battery chargers, they would be done at the same time. Where is the shore poer going to go, what will it power? If you don't know what you are doing don't mess with 120 volts, it will kill you. Household current and boats don't mix well and it is not very forgiving.

I am adding the system and wondering if there is any drawings etc. to show instalation point thru hull would be installed along with control panel. I see different points of entry and I am wondering if Sea Ray has a drawing showing the best place to install. Thanks Ron

Ron,
Did Sea Ray even offer shore power as an options for the 215? I know on the 240SD they did not and would not give any info on location/installation since it was not an options. I worked with my local MM dealer when I had it installed.

ps: You may want to update your signature info. Some people will not respond until you do. Just a headsup.

You should be able to get the parts manual on line from Sea Ray. with the parts manual you should be able to see Sea Ray installed it. That assumes that Sea Ray offered it as an option. Good Luck. Chuck1 is correct please up date your signature.

If you're installing shore power solely for a battery charger, there's an easier way. Marinco makes a power inlet that fits a "regular" extension cord, and is wired directly to the charger.
If you have no other need for 115v aboard, it's a much simpler (and less expensive) alternative.
