Shift bellows large clamp location question

The outer edge of the largeclamp on my shift bellows I just replaced is about even with the outer edge of the underlying transom opening. It is glued, but should I move the clamp farther back or is that good?

As long as the clamp is not overhanging the aluminum that the bellows clamps to, or is partially off the bellows, it should be fine.

I just checked mine and it is inboard of the flange that I think you're describing. If yours is even with the flange, it is probably only partially over the tube in the transom assembly.
