She's old but she runs.... 1986 190 Seville

After loosing the fight with my wife to allow me to purchase an F-350 to tow the cruiser, I went out and bought the ugliest runabout I have ever seen. I just got a 1986 Sea Ray 190 Seville. I've had had it out several times and it runs well enough but just for good measure I had Sea Ray give it the once over. New bellows and a tune-up and we're good to go. I do have a few concerns/questions that some of you may have some insight to. It has a 3.0 Merc with a Alpha 1. I am unable to find the ability to put it into high idle in neutral. The throttle is either straight up in neutral or in gear. So I have to let it warm up at idle speed.. any thoughts?

I think she wants the truck money spent on a larger boat so you'll forget about towing....I'm sure that's what she wants....what does she have to do write it down for you. This is one of those no,no means yes things that women do. Once I figured it out it made buying boat 2 & 3 a lot easier....my wife was so happy she was speachless, she still doesn't say much to me.:lol:

Almost correct to a point. She paid off the 280 in under 2 years and said she would kill me if I started looking for a larger cruiser again. As for the truck, well she did capitulate at on point stating "fine, go get your new truck, I just hope there is enough room to sleep in it"...... plus she wanted a runabout anyway.. win win or who knows?
