Outdrive is off, and the hull is pressure washed...

I really need to move down south.

Winterize next weekend and then the wrap guy will get scheduled.

You guys are making me nervous. I am not planning to haul for another month!

H20NUT - I know exactly how you feel. I drove the Boat form Bpt to Milford to pull the "Getaway Vehicle" out today too. It was a nice ride out there today but it was over before I knew it. The last ride is always depressing. I too power washed and was surprised that I had no barnacles on the outdrive or the hull. Anyway she is in my driveway too. Time to start winterizing ......

This SUCKS! :smt089

My water home is behind Sunnyside on the river. Not only did I have the green slime, but also barnicles... don't understand that one...

Hey Capt. Morgan, come on down we have plenty of room in Hotlanta.....just no water in the lake!! :smt100

Ours is clean, high and dry in a warm space waiting to be waxed. We just got back from 500 miles of top down color touring in northern lower Michigan. It started to rain about 50 miles from home so we stopped and put the top up. Sitting in front of a nice fire now watching it rain. A few boats are going by on the way to the public ramp to pull their boats. Glad I put the boat away on Friday when it was 60 degrees and sunny.

I procrastinate on storage.

This is my second year with a SeaRay. Last year, procrastination was rewarded with a really nice weekend in November for boating. There was one cold night in late October, however, when I had to go to the boat with a heat lamp as then night got down to 29F.

In previous years, I postponed winterizing my sailboat -> the latest I have winterized was the week before xmas. (note that this boat has little that can be damaged by freezing, unlike the searay)( It was 65F when I brought my boat over for haulout. This year, I am planning second week of November for both boats.

Sorry to hear it. I winterized the fresh water system on MS Judy today. Hope we have enough water left in the lake this year so I still boat all year?

I usually take her out of the water at the end of October. This leaves me some room to do the work on relatively warm weekend.

Alex.

OK, I get it... but here's a kick in the junk........... Just inked a contract on my new '01 280 DA. Sea trial and survey this Wednesday. 1 week turn around on the survey report puts closing around the 24th. Marina closes on the 30th. 6 freaking days then shrink wraped and stored for 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!! Zoinks. This will possibly be the longest winter I've ever had in Cincinnati. Luckily getting to San Fran in December for a week and a Bengals game then Marco Island in January after the Disney Marathon. Fun in Marco, could do without the pesky 26.2 mile run though. If I can throw in some skiing in Tahoe to Breckenridge in February I'll about have the off season licked.....:smt038

That's the secret of enjoying winter. There are lots of good things to do besides boating.
