I am planning to reupholster the cushions in my 390EC cockpit and overwhelmed by all the brands and why they claim their product is best. We are looking to use white and the main qualities we would want is -
Something that can withstand dog claws without scratching / stretching
A fabric that does not stain / easy to clean

Please share if you have had your exterior cushions made / reupholstered, what brand you used and pros and cons?

Have been reading up on silicone fabrics, sileather and some other brands. Anyone used this material?

We do upholstery and unfortunately and from experience any of these materials are subject to damage. Animal claws may scratch or poke and it will depend on how sharp they are as to what the damage will be. The vinyl is a soft material that we can easily cut, has stretch to it and feels nice to the touch - not exactly the best protection from animals. I would suggest a little protection over whatever you may do if the dog is allowed on - even something like a beach towel will help.

Great topic, I too have dogs onboard and would love good recommendations. Thanks to Kevin however there is not always time to throw a towel over the entire bench. I have very large U-shaped seating area and the dogs love to watch what’s going on.

Maybe this direction should be considered. Some members have done it with beautiful results and great reviews. I Think it would fare better with the dogs also. Pics?
