Does any know the interior diameter of this antena. Want to uses it for an extention on my cell phone antena that has a 3/4" fitting on it.

First your going to want to make sure it is tuned for the frequencies that your cell phone is using...... There is a reason that they have different antennae for VHF, UHF, Cell, TV, etc etc......

The VHF antennas are not generally hollow. They are filled with foam to keep the internal wire from flexing and breaking. Just add a new cellular antenna, faster, easer and more serviceable in the end. A new Black Box in the market is a signal booster for both Rx/Tx. Way cool!

Looking at putting a cell phone antena on top of an extention pole. Shakespeare makes a 13 foot extention pole and I was going to mount my cell antena on top of it. I gather from the add it is hollow. Other altenative is mount a 15 foot 1 and 1/4" aluminium pipe on the boat and put the cell antena on top of that. Any other ideas on how to get cell antena way up in air would be apreciated.

I got ya now. That makes more sense! Sorry...
Well, you could cut the cable and re-splice it on the other side, providing you are cable savvy enough. Shakespeare makes some great splicing attachments. I had the 13-foot extension on my Chris, and I see to remember the inside diamter to be about an inch or so in diameter. Take your connector to your local Westmarine and check it out in person. ???

Yes, extensions are hollow and you should be able to mount a same brand Cell Antenna to the extension. Drop the cable down inside the extension and out the base. Just remember this is a RX for Chafe on the cable as it will bang on the internal walls of that extension endlessly and wear through.

Thanks for the information. Will go measure up the internal dia and see if I can get my connector into the inside so I can thread the antena wires into the boat. I have a short antena with a 3 watt booster now but there are a few areas I have difficulty getting out. Also have a sat phone, but that is expensive to use and data down load is very slow.
