I see you on AIS still there in Coos bay? By your pic it looks like the weather is good. Tom with you?

Tom is 30 miles or so north (maybe more by now) he holds twice the fuel we do. So a fantastic journey!

Yep, he just pulled in, his plans changed slightly from an hour ago after looking at the tides. He should be back under way in an hour.

Dang, it looks like you two picked a good time for this journey. I'm jealous of the good weather you have. I'm keeping my fingers cross that it stays with you.

Who is crewing with you?

I have Pat Carson hired as captain from Bay Area Yachting Solutions.

Yes we are staying in Newport tonight. Conditions have deteriorated unfortunately. But so it goes.

425 miles done, about the same to go
. Boat is running as intended. Life is good. Priceless really. I have to say I am one of the luckiest people alive today. This is a trip that has been in the "planning" stages for four years or so. Could not be happier!

Newport Oregon. (We had 8-10's at 10 seconds breaking over the North jetty on this entrance.

Always better to err on the side of caution. Your trip has been in the planning stages for four years. You don't want to mess it up now by rushing to get home.

Yep, we are being very cautious. Many said the trip could not be done on this boat. Little did they realize with careful planning and some thought. It's very doable. We will be in Newport today, once the latest weather files show a break in the sea conditions, we will head to Westport.

I know Pat from the Power Squadron and the Bay and Delta Yachtsman. Does Phil happen to be with you as well?
