Setting Up The "TRUNK" on a Sundancer

I want one for my boat if admiral will let me!
Also want to get the handels but only can find links to platform manufactures requiring a quote process. Anyone knows who retails them. At my age an easy up helps.

Last time I looked, swimplatforms.com retailed them.

I find that having a dink that rolls up and stows in a serious impediment to actually using it. My inlaws have very similar setup and the same motor; they never use it. I guess it depends on each boater's use case.

We're on FL west coast, on a canal with boat behind th house.

Typically the dink is rolled up in the dockbox, the 2.5 Suzuki in the garage.

We only load them when we are going to a destination where we would be using the dink, like doing overnights on the hook where we need a way to the beach or dock.

We have a small air compressor on board so we can load the dink deflated if need be.

Otherwise, we like the use of the clear, unencumbered transom for our use.

BEST !

Love the idea of changing over to collapsible hose.

Need to find one that is drinking water safe.

I use inflatable fenders that are stored under the seats for when I leave the dock and a wireless air pump as there is just not enough space to store Big B’s in the trunk. The rest of the truck I used Yacht Organizer products to mount all the stuff I wanted out of the way for quick access. +1 After 11 years of use, I have never thought our inflatable to be cumbersome. I personnally don't like anything on the swim platform when cruising around or especially backing into a slip. Usually our destination trips have a few days to a week on the hook to play around on the beaches. So over the years, we have used the dink quite a bit!

Website says "Backordered till May 2022"
May?? Boat will be back in the water long before that. Sounds like they stopped making them and have no idea if they will again. Wonder how hard it would be to have them fabricated locally? Mounts would be the tricky part as rod holders might be too long. Really like the idea. Also great for boarding the dingy.

They probably can't get the metal fittings or the hose material. I am out till fall on some metal. It's a crap show out there.

There are plenty of other similar models available on the market. You just have to look around for them.

+1 These are simply the best hoses and the do no leave marks on the deck like rubber hoses. Drinking water safe is a definite plus - however I have a separate hose for connecting for that. They do not collapse like the "flex" type hoses but they last and are quite light. I keep one at the dock full time and also use them around the house.

We live off the tank at the dock and everywhere else. We just use the hose to fill the tank. I don’t think that zero-g hose would be an ideal hose to plug the boat into shore water

Agree. I use a white drinking water hose for that.
