My left front tire brake (tandem axle) might be going bad so I want to check on them to see if it needs to be replaced or serviced. Before I go do this, I wanted to ask you guys first the size of the floor jack I should purchase since I have the boat on the trailer.

Also, any tips or advice on servicing the brake is also appreciated.

Personally, I would put the boat in the water and do any work that requires removing the wheels and drums with no load on the trailer.

Not wanting to assume anything, but with a 2007 boat wouldn't you also most likely have a 2007 trailer, and shouldn't something like this be warranty?

About the warranty, I have no idea. I would have to check with continental and find out.

I could put the boat in the water, however, I would have to drive back to my house (15 mins away) to do the work on the trailer. I would have to pay transient rates to keep the boat in the water.

Wouldn't all that be cheaper than having a tire go bad or a brake not work while towing your boat.

Get an ample sized jack ( 10k or so) block up the trailer and have at it (boat and all)...you don't say what kind of brakes you are talking about...can we assume surge ?
