Self-install of Stereo Remote on 2006 and newer 185 Sports

Has anyone run the wire for the remote control pad at the helm to the radio in the glove box (besides paying the dealer to do it)? If you have - does the run go under the floor between the two consoles or does it run forward or aft. Did you require any extensions between the controller and the head unit or is the length supplied enough to span the distance? Was it a straight forward wire fish or did you run into any issues fishing the wire through?

I just did this install on my 205 and I thought it was pretty easy. I double triple checked where I wanted to remote to be because the one I picked required a 3" hole. I tried running the wires around the bow and came up about 3 - 4' to short after I had them all zipped tied up. I ended up pulling it back out and then going under the floor between the consoles. I used wire ties to keep the cables from dangling down into the ski locker.

It's the best upgrade I've done so far! I LOVE having the controls there while I'm driving.
