I have a 1998 330DA, i would like to install the SeaView dual mount which has a (6) bolt pattern 10"x10" mounting platform.
Will this mount on the 330DA radar arch or is it too large?
not at the boat as its a new purchase to me and has the westerbeke genset being replaced.
not sure if the arch has the width to mount that unit.
any help, greatly appreciated.

I will have to double check my part number but I installed a seaview dual mount last season for my tracvision M1 and 2kw Garmin radome. I also installed the light bar and wedge under dome. I required an adapter plate for the M1 as it was new last year and the Seaview came with a bolt pattern for an M2 or M3 tracvision. I believe my base is also 10 x 10. I assume you have the same metal arch as me. I lined my aft bolts over the rearmost edge of the flat mounting area. This created a problem at the fwd bolts as the leading edge of the arch has a tube inside for strength and rigidity. This made it impossible to bolt inside of the arch. What I did was used longer bolts and drilled all the way through the arch. I then secured the mount with acorn nuts. Looks good and is very solid! If you want I can snap a pic or 2 this week when my boat is launched. Todd

Note: This is the mount I installed and the website I bought it from. http://www.boaterbarn.com/seaview_12.5_aft_dual_3671_prd1.htm
This guy was by far the cheapest I found last year. The tech support/ customer service guy is named Don and was very helpful. He even price matched the M1 which I found slightly cheaper elsewhere. His price was best on all the accessories.

Todd,
i appreciate that very much. looks like i'll be installing exactly as you did.
i dont mind not being able to conceal all the bolting patterns. actually feel that it is better to grab more material for rigidity in the long run. its not a ton of weight, 80-100 lbs when fully installed.
i already have the seaview dual, but the boat is still in the yard 100 miles away. long way to get a correct measurement on the arch depth and width.
thanks again.
Matt

Your welcome Matt, anytime. If you need any further assistance or better pics, PM me. I think I have some pics I took over the winter on my phone that someone else requested, I just cant remember who.... I know none of them are from underneath though. I'll see what I can dig up. Todd

Note: Here's a few!
